Chen Yun’s Former Residence

Adjoining Xiatang Street beside Shihe River, Former Residence of Chen Yun, with a total construction area of 95.88 square meters, is a brick-wood residential house featuring the traditional Southern style. Chen Yun lost his father when he was two years old and his mother in four, and then he was adopted by his uncle and aunt, and re-named as Liao Chenyun, taking the family name of his uncle. The present Former Residence of Chen Yun is the house of his uncle and aunt, where he lived from 1911 to 1919. It is kept almost the same as it used to be.
