Chen Yun Memorial Actively Shapes a Center of Red Culture with Various Theme Act

Shanghai, as the birth place of the CPC, boasts a wealth of historical resources of the CPC’s founding, red culture and revolutionary culture resources, with more than 440 well preserved revolutionary relics all over the city. Situated in Liantang, an ancient water town, the Memorial has actively integrated natural tourism resources and red culture resources, and strived for building an education base for carrying forward the spirit of Party founding and the manner of great men. More and more theme activities have been held in the Memorial by relevant institutions of Shanghai and neighboring provinces and cities. Therefore, the Memorial has witnessed a booming visiting scene every day. By the end of October, the number of visitors throughout the year has reached a record high, with 1 million visits being registered in these days. Recently, the Memorial has welcomed the CPC members, cadres and the masses from a batch of institutions. These institutions included: Bureau of Exit-Entry Administration Shanghai Public Security Bureau, the Shanghai Municipal People's Government Affairs Administration, Zhou Enlai’s Ancestral Residence & Memorial Hall in Shaoxing, No.3 Branch Institute of Shanghai Party Institute, the Security Team of Shanghai Public Security Bureau, the Frontier Inspection Station of Shanghai Airport, Shanghai Bureau of Justice, China Publishing & Media Journal, eastday.com, Shanghai Tax Cadre School, Party School of the CPC Shanghai Municipal Committee, Party School of the CPC Kunshan Municipal Committee, Shanghai National Accounting Institute, Fengxian District Public Security Bureau, Learning Center Group of the CPC Committee of Zhujiajiao Town, School of International Relations & Public Affairs of Fudan University, Sports Bureau of Yangpu District, Shanghai Tobacco Group, Informatization Promotion Department of Shanghai Municipal Commission of Economy and Informatization, Bank of China (Hongqiao Branch), Party Committee of Shanghai Railway Communication Co., Ltd, China Construction Bank (Minhang Branch), Changning Education Training Center, International Peace Maternity and Child Health Hospital of China Welfare Institute, and Songwen Primary School.

It is of great realistic significance to hold high the banner of patriotism among students, and constantly enhance their national esteem, confidence and pride. The Memorial has actively shouldered the responsibility of educating the youth, and shaped a national patriotism education base, so as to strengthen the patriotism education of students and help them to shape the right concept of honor and disgrace, and outlook on the world and values. On the afternoon of December 1, Songwen Primary School of Qingpu District held the Children's Corps admission ceremony themed “Following the CPC and Growing up with Happiness” in the Memorial. Nearly 220 people attended the ceremony, including students of Grade One, their parents, instructors and teachers. Later they visited Chen Yun Life Achievements Exhibition, Chen Yun Historical Relics Exhibition, and the Former Residence of Chen Yun to feel the great and glorious life of Chen Yun. Many students said that the stories of Chen Yun have inspired them to study hard to be useful citizens of the country. Many parents said that by visiting the Memorial, their children knew better what it meant to live in a plain and hardworking way, which was more effective than educating them at home.

On November 29, teachers and students of No.3 Branch Institute of Shanghai Party Institute reviewed the CPC admission oath in front of the white marble statue of Chen Yun. They also signed co-building agreement with the General Party Branch of Shanghai Municipal Land Consolidation and Construction Land Affairs Center in the Memorial. Guided by docents, they visited Chen Yun Life Achievements Exhibition, Chen Yun Historical Relics Exhibition, and the Former Residence of Chen Yun. They said that though the visit was over, their efforts in learning from Chen Yun would never end and they would learn the perseverance, great personality and strict self-discipline of Chen Yun. And they would learn from Chen Yun to serve the people heart and soul and work to become qualified and outstanding CPC members.

Life Achievements Exhibition, Chen Yun Historical Relics Exhibition, and the Former Residence of Chen Yun. After the visit, they said that they would learn from veteran revolutionaries. They would resolutely safeguard the authority of the CPC Central Committee and its centralized and unified leadership, and would consciously and determinedly be loyal to safeguard and follow core leadership. They would arm their minds with Xi Jinping Thoughts on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a   New Era, and use it to guide their practices and work, so as to achieve more glorious progress in all works in the new era.
