Leaders of the Economic Commission of CPPCC Shanghai CommitteeShanghai Archives

In the afternoon of December 6, a delegation led by Zhang Xinsheng, Member of Standing Committee and Chairman of the Economic Commission of CPPCC Shanghai Committee, and a delegation led by Xing Jianrong, Deputy Director of Shanghai Archives Bureau visited the Memorial respectively for learning. Chen Linhui, Secretary of the CPC Committee and Curator of the Memorial, and Wang Zhenfeng, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Committee, Secretary of the Committee for Discipline Inspection and Associate Curator, and principals of relevant departments received the two delegations.

The delegation led by Zhang Xinsheng presented a flower basket to the white marble statue of Chen Yun in the main hall lobby of the Memorial. Then they visited Chen Yun Life Achievements Exhibition, Chen Yun Historical Relics Exhibition, the Former Residence of Chen Yun, and the Bronze Statues Hall of Great Leaders on the old street. While visiting Chen Yun Historical Relics Exhibition, the CPPCC members fully recognized the work of relic collection and preservation of the Memorial, and appreciated the efforts of the Memorial in unearthing stories behind the relics of Chen Yun to showcase the lofty manner and spirit of the great man. They hoped that the thoughts and manner of Chen Yun can better serve the efforts of fostering and practicing core socialist values.

The delegation led by Xing Jianrong firstly reviewed the CPC admission oath, and then visited Chen Yun Life Achievements Exhibition, the Former Residence of Chen Yun, and the Bronze Statues Hall of Great Leaders on the old street. Xing Jianrong, who had visited the Memorial many years ago, said that great changes and improvement could be seen since the display and layout of the Memorial have been redesigned. The main hall has been enriched with more content and new display methods, and greater focus on communication with visitors. It was expected that, with evidently more visits this year, the Memorial could offer more items of exhibition, so as to enhance the social influence of the Memorial and better carry forward the spirit of the great man and inherit the “red gene” .
