“Learning the MannerSpirit of Red Culture”: the Flag-presenting Ceremony of Chen

On December 7, “Learning the Manner and Spirit of Red Culture”: the Flag-presenting Ceremony of Chen Yun Memorial Volunteer Service Team of Shanghai Volunteer Association and “Learning from Lei Feng” Volunteer Service Seminar of Shanghai Cultural Venues was held in Chen Yun Memorial. The activity was co-hosted by Shanghai Volunteer Association and the Memorial.

Over 100 people have participated in the activity, including Yang Dan, Secretary General of Volunteer Work Committee of the Chinese Museums Association, Jiang Ming, Deputy Director of the Office of Shanghai Spiritual Civilization Development Steering Commission and Executive Vice President of Shanghai Volunteer Association, Chen Linhui, Secretary of the CPC Committee and Curator of the Memorial, Zheng Yinghao, Director of the Primary-level Division of the Publicity Department of the CPC Shanghai Municipal Committee, Wang Rugang, Vice President of Shanghai Federation of Literary and Art Circles, President of Shanghai Ballad Singers Association, and Head of the Shanghai People's Comic Troupe, Shanghai outstanding volunteers Yin Renjun and Fan Benliang, representatives of red cultural venues and museums in Shanghai, representatives of co-building partners of the Memorial and media, representatives of volunteer service team from Gaoxing, Shanghai Huangpu Philanthropy Federation and other volunteer organizations, as well as experts and scholars of colleges and universities. The flag-presenting ceremony was presided over by Cao Xiong, Deputy Head of the Shanghai People's Comic Troupe and a volunteer of the Memorial.

The Memorial has combined cultural work with volunteer service of cultural venues and museums featuring Red Culture to further publicize and implement the guidelines of the 19th CPC National Congress and carry out the newly promulgated Regulation on Volunteer Services of the state and documents of the CPC Central Committee, such as Opinions on Supporting and Developing Volunteer Service Organizations and Opinions on the Implementation of Using Public Cultural Facilities to Carry out “Learning from Lei Feng” Volunteer Service, and carry forward the volunteer spirit of “contribution, friendship, mutual assistance, and progress”, pool volunteer strength, make sustained efforts in advancing “Learning from Lei Feng” volunteer service at cultural venues, showcase the manner of volunteers, foster the volunteer service brand featuring “Learning the Manner and Spirit of Red Culture”, and cultivate and practice core socialist values.
