The CPC Shanghai Municipal Committee Holds a Symposium to Mark the 110th Anniver

The CPC Shanghai Municipal Committee held a symposium to mark the 110th anniversary of Chen Yun’s birth on the afternoon of June 13. Han Zheng, a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and the Secretary of the CPC Shanghai Municipal Committee, stressed that it was important to learn the spirit of President Xi’s remarks at the symposium marking the 110th anniversary of the birth of Chen Yun for inheriting and carrying forward the fine traditions of veteran revolutionists. Based on new targets and development requirements proposed by the CPC Central Committee with Comrade Xi Jinping as the core, Shanghai shall be a pioneer in reform and opening up as well as innovation with courage and resolution. Solid progress and new contributions should be made to realize the “Two Centenary Goals” and the Chinese Dream of great national rejuvenation.

Yang Xiong, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Shanghai Municipal Committee and the Mayor of Shanghai, presided over the symposium. Other municipal leaders, including Yin Yicui, Wu Zhiming, Ying Yong, Tu Guangshao, Ai Baojun, Shen Xiaoming, Xu Zezhou, Hou Kai, Jiang Ping, Yin Hong and He Weidong, attended the meeting. Han Zheng made the remarks, reviewing the outstanding achievements Comrade Chen Yun made for the Party and the people as well as his deep bond with Shanghai.
