Comrade Chen Yun made monumental contributions to the Party, the country and the people. He was highly admired for his noble characters and strict requirements on his family and staff. Based on interviews with Comrade Chen Yun’s family and staff spanning many years, 27 articles in total were written and included in the Chen Yun’s Family Virtues, with some of the stories published for the first time. The book draws a vivid picture of Comrade Chen Yun and presents his incorruptibility, cleanliness, honesty, uprightness and discipline. The Chen Yun’s Calligraphy Style is illustrated with 60 selected autographs and calligraphy works such as instructions and inscriptions, and each one is elaborated with an article over 1,500 words. This book demonstrates Chen Yun’s accomplishments in calligraphy and spiritual connotation, and also reflects his magnificent revolutionary career and noble morality from a different angle.
Participants at the seminar praised that the two books faithfully reflected Comrade Chen Yun’s insistence on the Party principles, his consistency in being people’s servant and strict requirements on family and staff, which highlighted the noble characters and integrity of a Party member. Especially, his focuses on family, family education and family rules carry practical significance to later generations.
