Reissue of The Biography of Chen Yun

In commemoration of the 110th anniversary of the birth of Comrade Chen Yun, The Biography of Chen Yun was reissued upon the approval of the CPC Central Committee. The book was compiled by the CCCPC Party Literature Research Office, with Jin Chongji and Chen Qun as chief editors, and Cao Yingwang as associate editor.

The four-volume book, which is an expansion of the previous edition, contains 43 chapters of over 1.3 million words.

The main sources of the book include Chen Yun’s manuscripts, telegrams, letters and records of speeches kept in the State Archives Administration and the CCCPC Party Literature Research Office, documents of the CPC Central Committee and relevant meeting minutes, memoirs and interviews of comrades who worked in direct contact with Chen Yun, relevant newspapers and magazines (including internal publications) back then, as well as related data and books. The book aims to draw a detailed and reliable picture of Chen Yun with substantial first-hand materials.
