Chen YunShanghai

Under the approval of the CPC Shanghai Municipal Committee, Chen Yun in Shanghai was jointly compiled by Party History Research Office of CPC Shanghai Municipal Committee and Construction Preparation Office of Former Residence of Chen Yun and Qingpu Revolutionary & History Memorial, in the memory of Chen’s great achievements and presenting the historical context of his revolutionary career and lofty spirit, in particular, his tremendous contributions to guiding revolution, construction and reform of Shanghai.

This book is prefaced by Meng Jianzhu, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Shanghai Municipal Committee; Song Yiqiao, a member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Shanghai Municipal Committee and Secretary-General of the CPC Shanghai Municipal Committee served as the Director of the Editorial Committee; Chen Hao, Deputy Secretary-General of the CPC Shanghai Municipal Committee and Director of the General Office of the CPC Shanghai Municipal Committee, and others served as the Deputy Directors.

Chen Yun in Shanghai details Chen Yun’s noble morality and his great achievements in revolutionary activities in Shanghai, as well as his concerns for all-round affairs of Shanghai after the founding of the PRC. In addition, the book capsules other revolutionary activities Chen Yun engaged in after he left Shanghai, while highlighting Chen’s brilliant achievements.
