Chen Yun worked as the Minister of the Organization Department of the CPC from 1937 to 1944 and the First Secretary of the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection from 1978 to 1987. In the process of the New Democratic Revolution led by the CPC, he made great contributions to Party building from theory to practice and offered numerous thoughts of far-reaching significance. His thoughts were shaped based on experience summarized in the Party building and served as a cardinal component of the Party building-related theories stated in Mao Zedong Thought and the theory for building socialism with Chinese characteristics. Articles included in the Chen Yun’s Views on Party Building comprehensively highlight his views on the Party building.
The book embraces Chen’s 56 excellent works on the Party building from 1933 to 1994, including 49 extracted from Selected Works of Chen Yun (2nd edition) and two from newspapers. Five of them are published for the first time.
