In September 1925, Chen Yun (front row, the 3rd from the left) took a group photo with the members of the first Executive Committee of Labor Union of Publishing House of Shanghai Commercial Press.

In 1925, Chen took part in the May Thirtieth Movement and later led the strike of the Commercial Press. He was elected as Chairman of the Strike Committee of Publishing House of the Commercial Press. Chen joined the CPC after the success of the strike. And this is Chen’s earliest photo ever discovered.
